Create your link and QR code

Enter your Place ID or paste the review link from your Google Business Profile.

Find your Place ID with Google's Place ID Finder (type your business name on the map). Or open your Google Business Profile, click Ask for reviews and paste the link you get.
Your review link
Before printing, open the link on your phone and check that the review box of the right business opens.

Get your review link in two minutes

There are two ways. The easiest one works if you manage your Google Business Profile: open the profile in Google Search or Google Maps, click Ask for reviews and copy the short link Google gives you. Paste it into the tool above to get a QR code and a printable card.

The second way uses your Place ID, the unique code of your business on Google Maps. Open Google's Place ID Finder, search for your business and copy the code that starts with "ChIJ". The tool turns it into a link like search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=…, which takes guests straight to the review form.

Where to put the QR code so people actually scan it

  • Restaurants and cafés: a table stand or a small card with the bill. Guests have time while they wait to pay.
  • Holiday rentals: next to the house rules, in the check-out message or on the key tag.
  • Salons, clinics and services: at reception and in the follow-up message after the appointment.
  • Online businesses: in the email you send after delivery or a finished job.

Ask for reviews without breaking Google's rules

Reviews are one of the strongest signals for showing up on Google Maps, but Google's policies are clear. Don't offer discounts, drinks or gifts in exchange for a review. Don't ask only happy customers (for example asking "were you satisfied?" first and sending the link only to those who say yes). And don't write reviews yourself or through staff. Breaking the rules can lead to removed reviews or restrictions on your profile.

What works is simple: ask every customer, at the right moment. The best moment is right after a good experience, when the guest tells you it was great.

Reply to every review

A short, polite reply to every review, good or bad, shows future customers that you care. For a negative review, thank the guest, acknowledge the problem if there was one, and offer to continue the conversation privately. Never share personal details of a guest.

Reviews build trust, but they don't bring new people who have never heard of you. Once your profile has a good rating, Google Ads is the fastest way to put it in front of people searching for what you offer right now.

Frequently asked questions

Is a review link the same as a link to my profile?
No. A profile link opens your listing on Google Maps and the guest still has to find the review button. A review link opens the review form directly, so more people actually leave one.
Will the QR code expire?
No. The QR code contains the link itself and does not depend on our website. It works as long as your Google Business Profile exists.
Can I give a discount for a review?
No. Google's policies prohibit incentives for reviews. You can ask every customer for an honest review, but without rewards and without filtering for happy customers only.
How do I report a fake or abusive review?
On Google Maps, open the review, click the three dots and choose to report it. Profile owners can follow the status in Google's review management tool. Google removes reviews that break its policies, not reviews that are simply negative.
What if my business has no Google profile?
Create and verify one at business.google.com first. Without a profile there are no reviews. If you need help with your profile or ads, get in touch.
